Mission
The 24 Hour Music Project is a non-profit corporation with the purpose of creating and using music to raise awareness, funds, and community involvement for social causes in Rhode Island and neighboring regions. Initiatives focus on specific individual societal and community needs, such as education, health, disaster relief, and crisis support.
We recruit talented music artists who, in a 24 hour period, create and record new music to raise awareness and funds for the designated cause, as well as stimulate community involvement through classes and workshops.
Current Project – Music Education
School boards around Rhode Island and the country are slashing their education budgets, and when school budgets are cut, music programs are usually the first things to go.
The current project aims to raise funding for music education programs in local inner city schools and to fight the slashing of their programs.
